General Hotel Policy
Arrival & Departure
Check-In / Check-Out
- Check-in from 15:00.
- Check-out by 12:00 (noon).
- Early check-in may be possible, subject to availability.
- Late check-out until 18:00 is charged at 50% of the room rate. Late check-out after 18:00 is charged at 100% of the room rate.
- Guests must be 18 years or older with photo identification to check in.
- In compliance with Thai law, all guests must present valid identification upon check-in: a passport for foreign guests, or a Thai ID card for Thai nationals.
- The credit card used for the reservation must be in the name of the guest staying and presented at check-in. Please note, virtual credit cards are not accepted.
- All reservations require an incidental deposit of THB 2,000 per room upon check-in. The deposit will be refunded upon check-out. Credit card pre-authorization or cash is accepted.
Visitors
All visitors must register at the Front Desk and kindly requested to leave guestrooms by 23:00. Using hotel facilities requires a minimum spend of THB 500 per person.
Parking
The Hotel has two complimentary on-site parking areas for all guests.
19A) Clifftop Parking — Located near The Clifftop (Breakfast), Sylvie Cafe, Clifftop Pool, Deluxe Clifftop, Junior Family, Deluxe Family, Panorama Suite.
19B) Lobby Parking — Located near Lobby, EV Charging Station, Sunset Beach Restaurant, Beachfront Pool, Reserve Beachfront, Reserve Ocean, Reserve Suite, Pool Villa Suite, Deluxe Beachfront, Rainforest Spa.
Lost & Found
If you leave an item in your room and our team is able to locate it, we can return it to you. Shipping starts from THB 150, and the final cost depends on the item's size and weight. For valuable items, we will contact you first to confirm your preferred return method. Please contact the Front Desk at 039-552-888 (8:00–17:00) or email rsvn@sylvankohchang.com — please include a photo of the item if available.
Room Policies
In Room
- In accordance with fire safety regulations, the use of burner stoves, open flames, candles, and flat irons is strictly prohibited.
- Cooking and reheating food using in-room equipment is not permitted.
Smoking
- Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited in all rooms and indoor common areas.
- Cigarettes are allowed in designated smoking areas only.
- The use of marijuana or cannabis is permitted only in a specially designated area.
- Any violation of this policy will result in a cleaning fee or further penalties as applicable.
Internet
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and common areas. To connect, please enter the access code provided at check-in.
Pets
The Hotel maintains a strict no-pets policy on its premises.
Liability & Valuables
- The Hotel shall not be liable for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings left in guest rooms, common areas, or vehicles parked on Hotel premises.
- All rooms are equipped with an in-room safe. Guests are strongly encouraged to use it for valuables such as cash, passports, jewelry, and electronics.
- Items of extraordinary value may be deposited at the Front Desk for safekeeping upon request.
- The Hotel's liability for items stored at the Front Desk is limited to THB 5,000 per guest, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The Hotel shall not be liable for any loss or damage in the following cases:
- Circumstances beyond the Hotel's control (e.g., natural disasters, power outages, theft by third parties).
- Items already damaged or depreciated by age or condition prior to the guest's stay.
- Loss or damage caused by the guest or their visitor.
Food & Beverage
Food Delivery
If you order food or beverages through a delivery app, they can be dropped off only at the Hotel Lobby. Guests must collect their orders in person. For safety reasons, deliveries to guest rooms are not permitted.
Outside Food & Drinks
Outside food and drinks are not permitted in the Hotel's restaurants and common areas. If you bring alcoholic beverages to consume in the restaurant or common areas, a corkage fee of THB 500 per bottle for wine and THB 1,000 for spirits applies.
Guests may enjoy outside food in their rooms, except strong-smelling items (e.g., durian). The Hotel reserves the right to impose a penalty if these rules are not followed.
Conduct & Safety
Prohibited Items
The following items are not permitted on Hotel premises:
- Animals of any kind.
- Flammable, explosive, or otherwise hazardous materials.
- Objects emitting a foul odor.
- Unregistered firearms or other weapons.
- Objects of an unusually large size or in unusually large quantities.
- Articles related to gambling, prostitution, smuggling, or other illicit acts.
- Illegal drugs or other articles, the possession of which is prohibited by the laws of Thailand.
The Hotel reserves the right to refuse entry to any guest found to be in possession of prohibited items. Guests shall be solely liable and responsible for all loss, financial or otherwise, and damage that may be caused by such items.
Pool & Beach Safety
- Pool and beach areas are open daily from 08:00 to 19:00. All guests must exit these areas by closing time.
- No Lifeguard on Duty. Guests swim and use the pool and the beach at their own risk. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times.
- Swimming conditions may vary due to weather, tides, and currents. Please observe any warning flags or signs posted on the beach.
Excessive Noise & Parties
To ensure all guests enjoy the comfort and safety of the facilities we offer, the Hotel upholds a strict zero-tolerance policy towards commotion, excessive noise, and parties. Any person found to be on our premises creating excessive noise, hosting a party, exceeding the number of permitted guests, or otherwise causing a disturbance will be requested to leave the Hotel without refund.
Inappropriate Behavior
Should any action by a guest — whether towards our staff or otherwise — be deemed inappropriate by the Hotel, or if any inappropriate behavior is brought to our attention, the Hotel reserves the right, after investigation, to take action against the guest. This may include, but is not limited to, being asked to leave without a refund for any services incurred.
Damage to Hotel Property
The Hotel reserves the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage or soiling caused by any accidental, deliberate, negligent, or reckless act to the Hotel's property or structure.
Flying Drone
In Thailand, all unmanned aerial systems — including drones and radio-controlled aircraft — must be registered with the Thai authorities. The safety and privacy of our guests is our highest priority; therefore, the use of drones by guests is strictly prohibited on Hotel premises unless pre-approved in writing by the management team. Unauthorized drone use may result in confiscation and reporting to the relevant authorities.
Wildlife
Please do not feed or touch wildlife (e.g., monkeys, birds, etc.). They are wild animals, which makes them unpredictable and may cause injury.
Booking Policy
Room Rates
- Rates are inclusive of 10% service charge and 7% applicable government tax.
- Rates are in Thai Baht (THB). Foreign currency charges may vary due to exchange rates. Paying in THB is advised to reduce these variations.
- Foreign currency conversions are given as guidance only and are non-binding.
- Room rates do not include room service, restaurant meals, international telephone calls, other guest services, and incidentals.
- The Hotel reserves the right to renegotiate rates if the period, room type, or requirements change.
- The Hotel reserves the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a guest has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity, or where the reservation contains or resulted from a mistake or error.
- Compulsory New Year's Eve Dinner on 31 December: THB 4,500 per adult, THB 2,250 per child (4-12.9 years). (Subject to annual review.)
Room Occupancy
- The rate per room, per night, includes breakfast for the standard number of guests as indicated in the table below.
- Additional guests may be accommodated up to the room's maximum capacity at an additional charge.
- The total number of occupants in a room, including children, shall not exceed the maximum permitted for each room type.
- The Hotel reserves the right to refuse entry to any additional guest exceeding the maximum occupancy allowed.

Extra Bedding
- Extra bed rate is THB 1,500 per night, inclusive of breakfast, tax, and service charge.
- The maximum number of extra beds per room is one.
- For Pool Villa Suites and Reserve Collection, the existing sofa bed converts to a single bed. No rollaway bed is provided.
- Extra beds are not available for Junior Family and Deluxe Family.
Child Policy
- 0–3.9 years: Sharing an existing bed with parents is complimentary. Breakfast is complimentary when consumed at the buffet. Baby cot is available upon request.
- 4–12.9 years: Sharing an existing bed with parents is charged at THB 300 per child (includes breakfast). An extra bed is charged at THB 1,500 per bed.
- 13 years and above: Considered adults and require an extra bed (includes breakfast).
- 2 children sharing: THB 1,800 (includes one extra bed and breakfast for both). Maximum 2 children per room.
Rate Plans & Promotions
Rates and promotions are subject to our dynamic pricing system, which varies daily based on room type, reservation dates, and current availability. Some promotions may be blacked out during festival periods, have limited availability, or be sold out — in such cases, the rate will not appear on the booking page for your selected dates.
All rates include:
- Daily breakfast for the base occupancy (see Room Occupancy above).
- Complimentary Wi-Fi.
- Rate plan benefits apply to the base occupancy only. Extra guests are charged separately (see Extra Bedding above).
- Promotional rates are limited and subject to availability. They cannot be combined with other promotions.
Tip: If your preferred promotion does not appear for your selected dates, try adjusting your dates. If your dates are fixed, explore other available rates on our website.
Flexi Stay
Our Flexi Stay offer includes a one-time complimentary modification privilege.
- Amendment made more than 7 days prior to check-in: free of charge (one time only).
- Amendment or cancellation made within 7 days of check-in: not permitted. The full stay will be charged.
- Cancellation made more than 7 days prior to check-in: 5% of the total stay will be charged.
- No-show, late check-in, or early check-out: the full stay will be charged.
- Differential rates, administration fees, and banking fees may apply.
Non-Refundable Rate Plans
The following rate plans share the same cancellation terms:
- Best Rates — Exclusive online rate, non-refundable.
- Early Birds 30 Days — Book at least 30 days in advance and enjoy savings.
- Long Stay — Minimum 7-night stay with up to 10% discount.
Terms (apply to all plans above):
- Amendment or cancellation is not permitted. All charges are non-refundable.
- No-show, late check-in, or early check-out: the full stay will be charged.
- Differential rates, administration fees, and banking fees may apply.
Cancellation and Amendment
The cancellation and amendment policy differs for each rate plan as detailed above. Please review the specific terms at the time of booking.

Credit Card & Payment
- The credit card used for the reservation must be in the name of the guest staying and presented at check-in. Virtual credit cards that are not issued as physical cards are not accepted.
- We accept Visa, Mastercard, JCB, and UnionPay.
- Alternative payments accepted: QR Payment, PromptPay, Alipay, and WeChat Pay.
- Your credit card details are required at the time of reservation to secure the booking.
- Pre-authorization: If a guest chooses to use a credit card for the incidental deposit upon check-in, the Hotel will place a temporary hold on the card. This hold will be released upon check-out; the release timing is governed by your bank's policies.
- Prepayment: For reservations made directly through the Hotel website, the full room charge will be charged to your credit card prior to arrival.
- Reservations may be canceled or modified if there is suspicion of fraud, inappropriate activity, or booking errors.
- Refund: In the event of a refund, the Hotel is not responsible for any transaction fees, currency exchange rate differences, or other charges imposed by your bank or card issuer. Refund processing times are determined by your financial institution.
Third-Party Booking Sources
For cancellations or modifications to reservations made through sources other than the Hotel or the Hotel website, the Hotel recommends that guests first contact their original booking source for assistance.
Special Requests
All requests entered into the 'Special Requests' box on the Hotel website are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed, though we will do our best to accommodate your request.
